Sunset and Sunrise

Sunset and sunrise
The beginning and the end,
Yet both bring beauty to my eyes
What a wonderfull way to send

Off and welcome a day.
A sunrise paints the world with a steady
Growing flame, while a sunset in a way
Is like a candle that is ready

To die. Sunset and sunrise, the beginning
And the end. The rosy light
slowly reaching out, spreading
Across the sky, with colorfull splendor and might.

Both sunset and sunrise are
The beginning and the end. Ending of the dark
Beginning of the light. Far
Apart, yet both have a vibrant spark.

  1. Nice poem, 3/5

Two suggestions, thought. You said, "sunset and sunrise, the beginning and the end," twice, which kind of detracts from the rhythm of the poem, and it also makes it seem like sunset is the beginning, and sunrise is the end.
