Broken Mirror

Broken Mirror

Darkness descends upon a lost soul,
Consuming it with a blistering fire,
Shadows over a mirror, black clouds roll,
Vicious pain meets hopeless desire.

Falling, the mirror meets the ground,
Shatter into a million pieces,
No one hears the sound,
Life ceases.

A million shards pierce the flesh,
Red pools stain the floor,
All wounds fresh
A plea is engraved on the wooden door.

Alas the mirror has broken,
Its final last words left unspoken.
